News: Report on Illegal Logging

One motorboat loaded with assorted lumber allegedly owned by Tano Matutis, res of Purok 14, Libjo, Dinagat Islands was intercepted at the sea water, Brgy Poblacion Libjo, Dinagat Islands Province on September 24, 2010 at 9:30 pm by PNP personnel of Libjo MPS led by SPO2 Adolfo Go.

Said motorboat was operated by a certain Marjun Matutis, 20 yrs old, single together with Romy Silikot y Castillon alias Loloy and Chelo Canoy Canonigo alais Eloy, legal age, all single and all res of P-14, Brgy Melody, Libjo, Dinagat Islands Province. Suspects and confiscated lumbers with an estimated volume of 500 board feet were brought to Loreto MPS for proper disposition. Progress report to follows. More

what is being done about the illegal logging on Mount Malindang,they drive in during the day cut the logs and come out during the night.It is not happening all the time but is it happening
